As a family business, Mr. Yates grew up acquiring, renovating, and selling properties with his family in South Africa, which permeated into other markets like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and London. Shane has extensive expertise with a full spectrum of building, investment and property management experience within commercial spaces which include but is not limited to hospitality, restaurant and retail assets. As a board member of Heartland Foundation, Shane pursues his passion for building strong communities through empowering youth education. Shane enjoys spending his free time golfing, surfing and traveling.

Dr. Kieun Steve Kim
VICE-PRESIDENT OF INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
Dr. Kieun Steve Kim joins Mataya Group after 20 years of professional experience in the music industry and higher education.
As the Vice President of International Affairs, Steve implements and manages international programs relating to visas, study abroad, scholar services, scholar and student exchanges, compliance with federal immigration laws, regulations and procedures, similar to his current position of Vice Chancellor of International Affairs at Simpson University.
Steve serves as Music Director at Trinity United Presbyterian Church and is the Chief Conductor and Music Director at Opera Korea, and owns a K-pop label, KSK Entertainment, INC.
Dr. Kim’s love and compassion for people and curiosity about life have extended his sphere of influence to a global community. His music has been performed worldwide including performances by GRAMMY-winning artists, children in the classrooms, and street choirs.
His passion is to build hope, home, and community where he finds joy in connecting and empowering people. He loves to study new languages and is a lover of sports, a personality test junkie, and a big foodie.

As an experienced leader in the field of tax planning, accounting, financial analysis, and renewable energy investments, Mr. DeLaura has a plethora of knowledge in everything wealth. As the Chief Financial Officer with over 10 years of experience, Mr. DeLaura oversees the financial analysis and management of our client's property assets from conception to completion. Mr. DeLaura boasts a B.A. in Business Administration and Management, furthering his already stellar repertoire. Mr. DeLaura enjoys hiking, automobiles and photography in his free time.
Alisi Mataele
PARTNER
Alisi Mataele joins Mataya Group after 25 years of experience in transacting commercial real estate assets of all product types- retail, restaurant, office, industrial and hospitality. Ms. Mataele’s Agency and consultancy assignments have included private and institutional clients. Ms. Mataele holds a California Real Estate License and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She currently serves as the COO for Heartland Coalition and is a member of Tonga Red Cross. Alisi majored in Business with an emphasis in Management at Arizona State University.
Holly Yates
PROJECT MANAGER
An experienced Interior Designer and Project Management professional with a demonstrated history of working in the architecture & planning industry. Ms. Yates is skilled in AutoCAD, Creative Briefs, Communication, Multicultural Education, and SketchUp. As a strong sourcing specialist with a BA (hons) in Interior Architecture and Design from the University of Portsmouth, Holly knows how to get things done and exceed client expectations. Holly’s dedicated volunteer work with Playing For Change and Project Mercy have allowed her to contribute to causes close to her heart.
Joe Mataele

Mr. Mataele joined Mataya Group with over 25 years of real estate experience consulting on various asset types with a focus on distressed properties.
Mr. Mataele has a solid track record in several successful entertainment and real estate ventures.
He has a passion for music entertainment as he is an avid guitar and piano player. Mr. Mataele also is a board member of Heartland Coalition partnering with various government agencies throughout the U.S. to help revitalize certain distressed communities by creating programs to teach the local youth members skillsets and certain trades.
